BARANGAY PROFILE
GEOGRAPHICAL AND RESOURCES ENDOWNMENT
Barangay Bacungan is divided into seven sitios namely Camia, Ilang-Ilang, Rose, Sampaguita, Daisy, Rosal and Sta. Ana. It lies at the western part of Pinamalayan. It is bounded on the east by barangay Nabuslot on the west by barangay Sto. Niño and some part of Catiningan Socorro, on the south by barangay Bacungan Pola and on the north by barangay Anoling.
It is 8 kilometers from poblacion, 65 kilometers from the Provincial Capitol and about 2 kilometers away from the adjacent municipality of Socorro.
Barangay Bacungan is 100% plain lowland and it has a total land area of 490.4567 has.
DEMOGRAPHY
Barangay Bacungan has a total population of 1,575 according to 2015 Record of Barangay Inhabitant (RBI) with the total household 357 & total families of 358. With the total registered voters of almost 671.
BEST PRACTICES/INNOVATIONS
Health Center – is located inside the vicinity of the Barangay Hall beside the Day Care Center where the vaccination operation Timbang & Check Ups for the pregnant mothers happen & can also found the free medicine for those who cannot afford to buy or those who belong to indigent families.
Day Care Center – is also inside the vicinity of the Barangay Hall right side the Health Center.
Rice Mill – is located at Sitio Daisy of Brgy. Bacungan operated and managed by Mr. Fernando R. Manalo.
